Chief Law Enforcement Officers Endorse Justin Mendes, Proving He is the True Public Safety Champion
October 15, 2018
HANFORD, CA– Justin Mendes, candidate for State Assembly, has received the endorsements of the 32nd District Attorneys, Kings County District Attorney Keith Fagundes and Kern County District Attorney-Elect Cynthia Zimmer.
Mendes, a Hanford City Councilman has worked closely with the local public safety agencies, most recently working with Kings County DA Keith Fagundes and Hanford Police Chief Parker Severs when he found out about the sexual predator moving in next door to his children’s daycare.
“I am impressed with Justin’s record and long-standing public service that has consistently included support of Kings County values, the Central Valley needs, and California public safety in general,” said Kings County District Attorney Keith Fagundes. “I have the utmost confidence that Justin will be a voice of reason and bring non-partisan views to the table that will improve our declining State in all areas of public service.”
In response to the endorsement, Justin Mendes stated, “I’m proud to have earned the endorsements of our Chief Law Enforcement Officers in the 32nd Assembly District. As a city councilman, public safety has always been a top priority, and I will always fight to ensure that central valley families are safe.”
Unfortunately, Sacramento Politician Rudy Salas’ public safety record has left Central Valley in harm’s way. He has voted to make it more difficult to fire teachers who have committed sex crimes against their students, voted against tougher penalties for human traffickers and ignored requests from constituents to help with a sexual predator living next to a daycare.
The endorsements of the Kern and Kings County District Attorneys, the Hanford Police Chief Parker Sever and the Hanford Police Officer Association goes to show that Justin Mendes is the true champion for public safety in this race.
